When I switched my engine on smoke came from the panel that has the air conditioning, recirculated air switch,rear window heater and fog light. Switched of and back on – same, lasted for about 30 secs and smelt like burning plastic. Fog light now will not go off and the others will not work. Any idea what I need to repair it? I did have to drive 5 miles after it happened as I was out at the time, but not sure if it’s dangerous to drive. My car is a Ford KA, 2006, 1299cc. Thanks

sounds like someone has been under the dash installing after market stereo equipment or something. There is definitely a short of some kind and should be addressed as soon as possible.
