overheats..fans work..fluids fine..removed thermostat..overhet again with transmission light on..fluids on top and oil in 1 spark plug..any idea what can be wrong and how to diy fix

  1. Generally an engine will overheat without a thermostat or if the thermostat is stuck open. The reason is the coolant does not stay in the radiator long enough to cool down. I would try a new thermostat after you have pressure tested the cooling system and repaired any and all leaks.
