I have always wanted a set of 3/8″ red line tires. I purchased Coker manufactured Red Line American Classic tires, same size and when replaced had bad vibration after standard balancing, Coker tire MFG very helpful and set me up with local dealer for Forced Balancing. this is best balancing possible and checks rims as well. One tire out of spec and had to be replaced but still vibration that car never had before changing the tires. Vibration not in seat but felt in steering as if oval wheel. A call Back to Coker tire and they were helpful by sending me 4 more tires that were pre force balanced at the factory between 11-14 lbs road force. Up to 35 # is acceptable range so these readings were great. Had them re installed and re force balanced with excellent readings. Car still has a vibration like and oval wheel but better at high speeds. No bent rims as force balance machine checks that so what can be the problem? Car brakes fine no shutter or vibration and all wheels are cool so that stumps me. Please help as this is a frustrating mystery and who do I go to next?
If the vibration is felt in the steering wheel, rotating the fronts to the back would be a quick check. If the vibration does not follow the wheels to the back then you know it isn’t in the wheels. So you are left with the hub bearings, rotors and steering components. Most common would be the rotors, even if the typical brake pedal pulsation is not felt.
My engine is overheating when idling. Then, it is not accelerating and almost dying at first after coming to a stop. Once it finally gets going it can only drive about 40 to 50 mph. Every time I slow down or stop it nearly dies. It is very hard to get it to accelerate after a stop.
Anytime an engine is overheating it should not be driven until the problem is corrected or permanent damage WILL occur. This could be from being low on coolant(find and repair leak), stuck thermostat to a radiator cooling fan not working.
When I come to a stop some times the idle will drop very low 250 rpm and will stall. It will start again but this is very unsafe when it happens at an intersection. What should I do?

No codes, most likely cause would be the IAC – Idle Air Control.
My alarm goes off when I press the lock/unlock buttons on my fob. Sometimes the alarm goes off when unlocked or I can be walking up to the truck and it sets it off. Any advice would surely help. Thank you
The vehicle is not operating at all like the standard ford PATS system, the alarm (lights and horn) should only go off in the event the panic button is pressed. This vehicle does not have a perimeter theft system. It just has a coded key.
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable for 10 minutes. Then reconnect. Now lock unlock the door with the remote key fob then use the key and do the same, now try starting it. if this fails to work then someone has installed something else in the vehicle incorporated with the ford standard system or you have a faulty PCM.
The RKE feature provides lock/unlock functions independently of key position, vehicle speed, or transmission position. The RKE feature provides a stepped (if enabled) process for unlocking the doors. Upon receipt of the first request for unlocking the doors, the RKE feature requests the BCM to unlock the driver door only and provides a long flash of the turn signals. If another unlock request is received within 3 seconds of the first, the RKE feature requests the BCM to unlock all the doors. This feature can be configured to global unlock, so that all the doors unlock on the first press of the UNLOCK button. Refer to in this section for programming information.
The RKE feature requests that all the doors be locked when the LOCK button is pressed. On any press of the LOCK button with all doors closed, the BCM provides one flash of the turn signals. If any door is ajar, no flash occurs. As soon as the last door is closed, the BCM provides the flash of the turn signals. If 2 presses of the LOCK button are received within 3 seconds, the horn chirps once and the turn signals flash twice to indicate that all the doors are closed and locked. If any door is ajar when the second lock request is received within 3 seconds of the first, the RKE transmitter feature requests the BCM to chirp the horn twice without flashing the turn signals to indicate all the doors are locked but one or more doors are ajar. When the key is in the RUN or START position, the turn signal flashes and horn chirp confirmations do not occur.
The panic alarm feature provides audible and visual alarms which are evident from the exterior of the vehicle. The panic alarm feature requests that the turn signals are flashed and the horn sounds until deactivation. The flashing of the outputs occurs simultaneously. Activation of the panic alarm is accomplished by pressing the panic button on an RKE transmitter whenever the key is in the OFF position. At all other times this feature is disabled. Deactivation of an active panic alarm is accomplished by any of the following actions:
Okay, so, my back running lights for night will only come on when the lighting switch is turned to the auto position. However, when I have the switch in the auto position my dash back light will not work, that only works when the switch is in the on position. So, I really have an issue at night ha I can’t win either way! Advice on what the problem may be is really appreciated! I know enough to get by, but being a young female I still get some mechanics trying to rip me off. I would rather get someone else’s advice first!

We just replaced the serpentine belt on my 2005 Ford Freestyle and now the air conditioning won’t work and the belt is squeaky.

You could try putting the old serpentine belt back on and see if it changes. The new belt may be the wrong size and slipping.

I just replaced blown head gasket on 3.8 engine. It ran rough and then smoothed out and ran. I looked under and noticed that the front exhaust was bright red. I shut it off immediately. Any answers how to fix this prob?
Your fuel is probably to rich, and continues to burn during exhaust. Get it fixed as soon as you can. If there is a check engine light on, pull the codes and post them below in the comments. Did you double check your work to make sure you didn’t leave anything unplugged?

my car is stuck in drive and won’t shift
Are you saying the shifter will not move? Or the transmission will not change from drive?
This could be a couple of possible problems, the shifter is broke, the shifter cable is bad, or the trans has a problem keeping the shifter from moving. The easiest way to test it would be to remove the shifter cable from the trans and see if the shifter will then move, if it does you would know the problem is in the trans. If it does not move the shifter would need to be taken apart to see if a problem could be identified.
