My van is a 318 mag. It quits after driving aways and then it starts hard as if it was hot. The temp gauge reads normal. I hear a whistling noise also when driving it
when i crank the truck the check gauges light comes on and the temperature gauge goes all the way over to the hot side, i can kill the truck then re-crank it and it goes to normal, what could this be.
I have replaced the booster, master cylinder, calipers, shoes & pads, and bled the system. Brake lights (ABS & BRAKE) are still on. Brakes still drag. What next?
Also, my speedometer works but my odometer doesn’t. I thought they were connected by the same cable.
Here is what it dose to me. After warming up driving once on hill starts to sputter never stalling out with gas petal to floor will get going again. Then will start to rev up and back down again (example tact is reading 2000 will jump up to 3000 for a second then back down again will repeat this for a few mins the stop and then start back again. Will not do this until warm and so far have to be driving to start it. Also trans will shift in strange places (going downhill will shift down and if I am starting out going up hill will take forever to change gears.
What I have tried changed trans filter and Transmission Control Solenoid. Have checked map and manifold intake air intake sensor and the throttle placement sensor. So far the best resolute have been with throttle placement sensor first try drove ok wanted to try second time but will not drive without it connected now. Not sure what to try next or just replace the TPS?
truck runs 3/4 way to the “H” side in normal driving and runs hot when going up steep mountains
can someone help me with timing on a 94 dodge 360 it jumped time and i replaced the timing chain i have a scanner and i got a code 11 which is about the crankshaft sensor that its not reading it when motor is cranking d0 i need to reset the sensor before the truck will start
i have codes that are all dealing with misfiring on 1-3-5. i did a tuneup on it. i light goes out, i drive it for a couple of days the light comes back on reading misfiring on a different cylinder. it is always on that side of the cylinders. It came on again today it reads misfiring on cylinder 3. I have done tuneup after tuneup, change sensors, changed fuel injectors, can any one please help me.
The problem is that it has been holding water pressure in the return hose for the radiator and it has been overheating. I have replaced the water pump and the thermostat. I am thinking that it may be one or both of the head gaskets but I’m not sure. would like a professionals opinion before i continue with this project. Thanks
The turn signals front and back will not flash. I have checked and replaced any burned fuses and replaced all the light bulbs. Not sure what to check next – any suggestions?
I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan v6 3.3L that has been having a few issues. First it started to hesitate while accelerating and occasionally stalling out @ stop lights. It also started getting bad gas millage during this time. That sort of went away, then a week ago the engine would shut off while driving. If I was able to get it restarted it would repeatedly shut off until I reached my destination. Now, I can drive it to work in the morning with no issues, leave it sit the whole day, then drive home (about 20min) also, with no issues. If I try to go somewhere after I get home from work, that it where the problems begin.
