Hello my name is katie and I have a ’96 Chrysler Cirrus LX 2.5L with 155k miles. Last week I almost ran out of gas, I made it to station and thought things were fine. I drove it on freeway 15 miles then it stopped acceleration and idleled roughly then died. It started back up (rpms low/ rough idle) I pressed on gas but rpms wouldnt rise until I let off pedal, it shortly died. I replaced all spark plugs&wires, cleaned EGR valve.. My fuel pump works fine, I can hear it come on when I turn key/start car. I don’t understand, it seems if I let my car sit for a day or two then it drives fine for about one day then suddenly while driving starts acting like its starved for fuel and completely stalls out. Im really scared to drive it, and every mechanic has told me something different. Ive already spent over $400 in parts and labor and im still at square one. PLEASE HELP? THANK YOU
overheats..fans work..fluids fine..removed thermostat..overhet again with transmission light on..fluids on top and oil in 1 spark plug..any idea what can be wrong and how to diy fix
VEHICLE FALLS OUT OF GEER ON SHARP TURNS AND ABRUPT STOPS – WILL NOT GO INTO GEER WHEN TEMP IS UNDER 60 DEGREES WITHOUT EXTENSIVE WARM UP – HAVE TO RACE ENGINE FEW TIMES TO GET TO POP BACK INTO GEER – MAJOR PROBLEM?? EXPENSIVE TO FIX OR IS IT JUST SOMESORT OF SENSOR PROBLEM?
I have had the transmission rebuilt by Chrysler due to hard shifting, jerking and pulsating. After rebuild and a few miles it started over again and I replaced the throttle body and 3 speed sensors and had a relearn. All went well again for about 150 miles and it has started doing the same again. What is wrong????
Hello, I have no brake lights either side-all other lights work(front/rear). I wonder if car has been tampered with. Inside fuse panel in trunk- was no fuse at all in brake lamp5.7L Cavity 15! I installed new 20 amp yellow in 15 and checked brake lamp red 10 amp in Cavity 19-not broken.Still no lights. Haven’t replaced bulbs yet(3057) for brake lights.It is not typical for both sides brake light bulbs to fail at same time is it? Also, There are black switches/relays in Cavities 24,45,46.These Cavities aren’t even listed in owners manual. I touched top of them, they were warm. I have no brake lights at rear at all- also lock/unlock when activated on ignition key-only backup lights work used to be all lights flashed
Intermitant problem (sometimes and somtimes not) with transmission not shifting since the car was purchased. Will lock in lower gear and no matter the speed traveling transmission will not allow shifting into higher gears. Transmission was replaced once. Same problem occurs. Car only has 63 thousand miles. Not high milage. Input output sensor has been changed. Electronic brain has been changed.
when driving it will shout off.when I try to start it when I turn the key it wont crank I have all my light and every thing if I wait 5 to 10 mins. it will start back up drive it half mile it will do it again
