6. Yr Make and Model = '99 VW Passat

Answer :You chose to replace the pads only which gives you two uneven surfaces pressing against each other. The new pads are only touching 60% of the rotor at best and until they wear into the rest of the 40% it will in fact feel different. After 500 miles of city driving you will be close to 100% braking ability.

3. Request = How does the wire from the cargo light switch to the cargo area. I did not get towing package. Is the factory wiring still ran for trailer brake control module and contact power for trailer hook up to install after market 7-way plug?
4. Submit = Submit
5. Symptom = wiring diagrams.
6. Yr Make and Model = 2001 Chevy Sivlerado1500

Answer: When you buy the brake controller it will come with installation instructions. You will find you just plug into a pre-existing slot under the drivers side inside a black box above where your left foot would be. Take the cover off and the second plug receptacle from the left. Easy to do. As for the trailer wiring, the wiring is there, tuck up underneath and taped off.. If you look for them carefully you will find them. You will need to install the plug and attach the wiring. So I guess the answer is YES !!!
